A brother in Christ asked me to draw what I saw when listening to Michael W. Smith’s song, Surrounded.   All I could think of was swirls of music and great joy coming from the heart of the worshipper!

Did you know that when you’re feeling down you can offer a sacrifice of praise?  Maybe you don’t feel like praising God, but that is why it is a sacrifice.   We Christians are citizens of an upside-down kingdom.   We do the opposite of what the world would expect.

What a loving Father to give us such a holy exchange:

Isaiah 61:3
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified.

You have access to a holy trade off.  Give God the heaviness and receive the oil of JOY and a GARMENT OF PRAISE.

I hope this is a reminder of how to fight your battles today!

God bless you!
Beth
